About Bob Joyce Bob Joyce is the Independent candidate for State Senator from the Suffolk and Norfolk district. He is running against the Democrat incumbent who has fallen out of touch with her constituents. Bob is reaching out to all voters, regardless of party affiliation. He is inviting you to “Declare Your Independence†and create a positive change in the political climate in Massachusetts. Bob is a lifelong resident of Roslindale. He and his twin sister, Eileen, live on the same street as their 88 year old mother, Marguerite (“Dollyâ€) Joyce. His two older brothers, Tom and Pat, visit regularly (from Methuen and Cape Cod) and contribute to a close knit, cooperative family which includes Bob’s five nieces: Elaine, Elizabeth, Celina, Allison, and Linette. Bob graduated from Catholic Memorial High School, where he co-captained the basketball team. He was awarded a full scholarship to Saint Michael’s College, and there received the senior scholar athlete award. Bob went on to earn both a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Law Degree at Florida State University. He has conducted his own successful law practice for the past 28 years. Bob has taken an active leadership role in many local and state-wide organizations, including Catholic Memorial Board of Directors Catholic Memorial Alumni Association Massachusetts Citizens for Life (MCFL) Pro-Life Legal Defense Fund West Roxbury American Legion Baseball Knights of Columbus Holy Name Society He is an active parishioner at the Holy Name Church in West Roxbury.
